Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

Plus a national provider identifier on every claim.

The bill bars hospitals and other health care facilities from charging a separate facility fee for telehealth visits or preventive health services, and it requires providers to get a national provider identifier for each facility they own or are tied to and put it on every claim. It touches hospital systems, their off-campus facilities, insurers and other payors, and patients who get billed facility fees. Patients must get written notice of a facility fee's amount and purpose before off-campus care, insurers may not pay facility fees on claims missing the facility identifier starting January 1, 2026, and the state health commission can fine violators up to $1,000.
