relating to certain duties of the Texas Workforce Commission with respect to child-care resources.

Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

A prominent one.

The bill requires the Texas Workforce Commission to keep a prominent link on its website to a page with current information that helps employers assist working parents in finding child care. The page must cover child-care assistance, tax credits, dependent care savings accounts, free tools, and employer policy options, and it must say the commission gives no legal advice and employers are not required to adopt anything. Employers and parents get a new one-stop web page by February 1, 2026, and nothing else changes for anyone.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 302, Labor Code, is

amended by adding Section 302.0064 to read as follows:

Sec. 302.0064. CHILD-CARE RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYERS. (a)

The commission shall maintain in a prominent location on its

(1) child-care assistance;

(2) best practices for assisting employees who are
