Summary

Section 43.007(i) goes. The rest of the program stays.

The bill repeals one subsection, Section 43.007(i), of the Texas Election Code, which governs the countywide polling place program. It touches counties that run or want to run countywide polling, where voters can cast a ballot at any polling place in the county on election day, along with the officials who approve their participation. The bill text does not restate what the repealed subsection says, so the only change on the ground is that this one rule on program participation stops applying, starting immediately with a two-thirds vote or on September 1, 2025.
