The bill requires every Texas school district and open-enrollment charter school to employ at least one full-time registered nurse at each campus. It also requires each district or charter to keep an average of at least one full-time registered nurse for every 750 students enrolled. The rule applies starting with the 2025-2026 school year, so campuses without a full-time nurse would have to hire one.
