Summary

Named court seats out. County judge, district judges and district attorney in.

The bill changes who sits on the Comal County Juvenile Board. It replaces seats held by judges of specific named courts with the county judge, the local administrative statutory county court judge or a designee, the local administrative district judge or a designee, one district judge picked by the local administrative district judge, and the criminal district attorney. The board shrinks from seven named seats to five, and two of the judicial seats can now be filled by designees, starting September 1, 2025.
