Summary

Only when someone donates the sign and pays to install it.

The bill requires every Texas city and county to display "In God We Trust" in a conspicuous place on the outside of each building it owns, leases, or uses, but only when someone donates the sign. The donor must also pay the installation costs, so cities and counties pay nothing for the display. On the ground, local governments can no longer turn down a donated sign and must put it up as soon as practicable after the law takes effect.
