Summary

Must becomes may.

The bill changes one word in the law on license plates for current or visiting state and federal judges, from "must" to "may." It affects judges who get these specialty plates and the Department of Motor Vehicles that issues them. Judge plates no longer have to show the words "State Judge" or "U.S. Judge," so a judge could get the specialty plate without that label, starting September 1, 2025.
