Caption from analyzed text · version I.
Summary
60 days unpaid and DPS must revoke it.
If a person does not pay a civil penalty from the Texas Ethics Commission within 60 days, and the penalty has not been waived, the commission must ask the Department of Public Safety to revoke that person's driver's license. The department must then revoke the license. This touches candidates, officeholders, lobbyists, political committee filers and anyone else fined by the commission, but only for penalties imposed on or after September 1, 2025.
