Summary

One line about how other laws are read, gone.

The bill deletes one line from the state's peer-to-peer car sharing law that said the chapter has no effect on how other laws are read, including laws on motor vehicle regulation, airport regulation, and taxation. It touches car sharing companies, the people who share or rent cars through them, and the agencies and airports that apply those other laws. Once the line is gone, the car sharing chapter could be used to help interpret those other laws, while the protections for injury liability and insurance rules stay in place.
