Summary
Master’s degrees still count if earned by December 31, 2007.
The bill raises the degree needed for a new audiologist license to a doctoral degree in audiology or a related hearing science, while still accepting a master's degree in audiology earned on or before December 31, 2007. It affects people applying for audiology licenses in Texas and the schools that train them. The accreditation rule for these degrees is moved into its own subsection, so it still applies to both audiology and speech-language pathology degrees, starting September 1, 2025.
