Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

Minimum goes from $500 to $1,000. The $10,000 max stays.

The bill raises the minimum fine the State Board for Educator Certification can impose on a superintendent, director, or principal who misses the deadline to report educator misconduct or a criminal record, from $500 to $1,000. The $10,000 maximum stays the same, and the board still cannot renew the certification of an educator who has not paid the penalty. It touches school administrators who sit on misconduct reports, and it takes effect September 1, 2025.
