Summary
Platting costs so land can hook up to water or sewer.
The bill lets the Texas Water Development Board spend money from its economically distressed areas account on the cost of platting or replatting land so it can be hooked up to public water or sewer. This only covers areas developed before the board adopted its model subdivision rules. Local governments serving older, unplatted neighborhoods can now get state help with the paperwork and survey costs that stand between residents and a water or sewer connection, starting September 1, 2025.
