Summary

Nonrenewal mid-semester becomes month-to-month until the semester ends.

The bill says that when a manufactured home community landlord decides not to renew the lease of a tenant living with a minor child, and the lease would end during a school semester, the landlord must switch the tenant to a month-to-month lease. The landlord must keep renewing that month-to-month lease until the end date falls outside the school semester. This touches manufactured home community landlords and families with school-age kids, who can no longer be pushed out mid-semester by a nonrenewal, starting with leases signed or renewed on or after September 1, 2025.
