Summary
Owners who live there as a primary residence now qualify.
This bill widens who can choose to have a manufactured home treated as real property, like a house, instead of as personal property. Today an owner can make that choice only if the home sits on land the owner owns or holds under a long-term lease; the bill adds owners who live in the home as their primary residence. Starting September 1, 2025, owner-occupants can check the real-property box on their ownership application even if they do not own or long-term lease the land under the home.
