relating to the appointment and salary of bailiffs appointed by certain district courts in Webb County.

Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

Salary matches similar courts, paid from the county general fund.

The bill adds the judge of the 341st District Court to the list of judges who must appoint a bailiff, lets that judge set the bailiff's salary at a level matching bailiffs of similar courts, and repeals one subsection of the bailiff law. It touches Webb County, its district judges, and the bailiffs now working for the 341st and 406th district courts. The county general fund pays the 341st bailiff's salary, and the current bailiffs of both courts keep their jobs and pay, including county-granted raises, until they leave.
