Summary

State money for three presidential libraries. Renovations, tourism marketing and a traveling exhibit.

The bill orders the Texas Historical Commission to set up a program that gives money to and markets the three presidential libraries in Texas: Lyndon Baines Johnson, George Bush, and George W. Bush. It creates a dedicated state account filled by legislative appropriations, interest, and private gifts, and it lets the Commission hand the whole program to a nonprofit to run. On the ground, state money could pay for exhibit renovations, tourism marketing, and a traveling exhibit about the three presidents, starting September 1, 2025.
