Summary

Chapter 170A and the older Chapter 6-1/2 both go.

The bill repeals two Texas abortion laws: Chapter 170A of the Health and Safety Code and the older Chapter 6-1/2, Title 71, Revised Statutes. It also strips references to the older chapter from the remaining abortion subchapter and changes the word "woman" to "pregnant individual" in one protection clause. The other abortion rules in that subchapter, including its private lawsuit remedy in Section 171.208, stay on the books, so only those two repealed laws stop applying.
