Summary

Arrests before September 1, 2021 qualify, deferred cases now too.

The bill expands an existing expunction right for people arrested for unlawfully carrying a handgun before September 1, 2021. Today the right covers people convicted of that offense, and the bill adds people who were placed on deferred adjudication community supervision for it. Those people can now have all records and files of the arrest wiped, starting September 1, 2025.
