Summary

Contracts with other locals, the state or the federal government.

The bill adds a short section to state law that lets a local government sign a contract with another local government, the state, or the federal government to jointly do research or planning on water resources. It touches cities, counties and other local governments that want to team up on water work. On the ground, it removes doubt about whether local governments have the power to make these joint water deals, but it requires no one to do anything.
