Summary
Open request for proposals. Facilities, lodging and staff details required.
The bill requires the University Interscholastic League to pick host sites for its statewide championships through an open request for proposals. Universities and other suitable groups that want to host a state competition can apply, and each request must list how the league will choose and ask for details on facilities, lodging and staff. Starting with competitions held on or after September 1, 2026, the league can no longer just hand out state events without first putting out a statewide call for bids.
