Summary

Staggered three-year terms, two terms max.

The bill sets staggered three-year terms for members of the University Interscholastic League's state executive committee, with about one-third of terms ending June 30 each year, and limits each member to two terms. It touches the people who sit on the committee that governs Texas public school athletics and academic competitions, along with the commissioner of education, who must write rules to set up the staggering. Starting September 1, 2025, no one can serve more than two terms, and seats will turn over on a regular yearly schedule.
