Summary

Lack of access to medically necessary termination counts too.

The bill adds deaths and serious health harms tied to miscarriage, or to a lack of access to medically necessary pregnancy termination, to what the state's Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee must study. It requires the state health department to gather and hand that data to the committee, and it carves those records out of the current rule that bars the committee from collecting any termination-related records. Starting September 1, 2025, the committee's reviews and recommendations would have to cover these cases, while other termination records stay off-limits.
