The bill lets people riding bicycles treat stop signs and red lights, both steady and flashing, as yield signs. It touches bicyclists and the drivers and police who share intersections and railroad crossings with them. Starting September 1, 2025, a cyclist may roll through a stop sign or red light without a full stop if the way is clear, but must still yield as at a yield sign.
