Summary
Board meetings get location rules.
The bill sets rules for where a municipal utility district's board must hold its meetings. If less than half the district's land is developed, the board must meet at a public location inside the district or within 10 miles of it; once at least half is developed, meetings must be inside the district unless five qualified voters petition for a location within 10 miles outside. Residents of these districts get meetings closer to home, and boards can still meet by phone or video under the state open meetings law.
