Summary

Adds it to the list of offenses requiring registration.

The bill adds a second conviction for indecent assault to the list of offenses that require a person to register as a sex offender in Texas. It also covers a second conviction under another state's, federal, foreign, or military law that matches the elements of indecent assault, and it makes parole, probation, and juvenile agencies handle registration for people with those out-of-state matches. It does not reach a second offense that ends in deferred adjudication, it applies only to offenses committed on or after September 1, 2025, and it updates old agency names in the statute.
