Summary

Mineral, timber and energy deals, plus LLCs handling their own property.

The bill widens the list of real estate deals that do not need a Texas Real Estate Commission license. It covers people handling leases or sales of mineral, mining, quarry, timber, and energy interests like solar, wind, geothermal and nuclear, plus partners, managers, members and employees of limited partnerships and LLCs dealing in their own company's real estate. Landmen and company insiders can negotiate these deals without a real estate broker license, and the law takes effect right away or on September 1, 2025.
