Summary

Only districts with an allotment under Section 48.101(b).

Texas law bars a school board trustee from taking a job with the same district until one year after leaving the board. This bill keeps that rule but exempts trustees of districts that receive a funding allotment under Section 48.101(b) of the Education Code. Former trustees in those districts could be hired by their district right away, and the change starts immediately with a two-thirds vote or on September 1, 2025.
