Summary

Applies to districts entitled to the allotment under Section 48.101(b).

This bill changes the rule that bars a school board trustee from taking a job with their own district until one year after leaving the board. It exempts trustees of districts that are entitled to a specific state funding allotment under Section 48.101(b) of the Education Code. In those districts, a sitting or just-departed trustee could be hired by the district right away, while the one-year wait stays in place everywhere else.
