Summary
No hearing when the state refuses or revokes a title.
This bill bars people from asking their county tax office for a hearing when the state refuses, suspends or revokes a vehicle title in certain cases. Those cases are salvage or nonrepairable vehicle titles, and vehicles that are tied up in pending lawsuits or court proceedings, awarded by a court to someone else, or held as evidence in a criminal investigation. County assessor-collectors must deny those hearing requests and do not have to notify the state or hold a hearing, starting September 1, 2025.
