Summary

State refuses, suspends or revokes a title, no county hearing.

This bill takes away the right to ask for a county hearing when the state refuses, suspends or revokes a vehicle title in certain cases. It touches vehicle owners and other interested people whose title is tied to a salvage or nonrepairable vehicle, a pending lawsuit or court case, a court award of ownership to someone else, or a vehicle held as evidence in a criminal investigation. County tax assessor-collectors must deny those hearing requests, and they do not have to send notice or hold a hearing, starting September 1, 2025.
