Summary

Buying, setting up and maintaining it all count.

The bill lets money from the state's Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grant program pay for buying, setting up, and maintaining technology needed to run career and technical education programs. It touches junior colleges, technical institutes, state colleges, school districts and charter schools that get JET grants for job-training programs. Starting with grants awarded on or after September 1, 2025, those schools can spend grant dollars on ongoing tech costs, not just start-up costs.
