Summary

Buying, setting up and maintaining career and technical education tech.

The bill lets money from the state's Jobs and Education for Texans grant fund pay for buying, setting up and maintaining technology needed to run career and technical education programs. It touches public junior colleges, technical institutes, state colleges, school districts and charter schools that get these grants. Starting with grants awarded on or after September 1, 2025, recipients can spend grant dollars on technology and its upkeep, not just start-up program costs.
