Summary

Subsection (d) of Section 211.006 stops applying to those developments.

This bill switches off one zoning rule, Subsection (d) of Section 211.006 of the Local Government Code, for certain properties. It touches properties holding housing developments that have applied for or received state-administered housing tax credits, along with the cities that zone them and nearby owners. Cities would no longer apply that subsection when zoning decisions involve those properties, and the change could start immediately or on September 1, 2025.
