Summary

1M-plus county, holding part of a 1M-plus city, beside a 2.5M-plus county. Others keep two years.

The bill lets certain counties keep running their local health care provider participation programs until September 1, 2030, instead of losing that authority about two years after they first adopt it. It touches only counties of one million or more people that contain part of a city of one million or more and sit next to a county of 2.5 million or more, plus the health care providers in those counties' programs. Every other local government keeps the current two-year expiration, while the qualifying counties get a fixed run through 2030.
