Summary
Ask by May 15. Post a summary by September 1.
The bill sets two yearly deadlines for the Texas Department of Insurance on title insurance rate data. By May 15 each year the department must ask every title insurance company and agent for the statistical report data already required by law, and by September 1 it must post a summary of those reports on its website. Title insurers and agents get a fixed annual data call, and the public gets a published compilation of the numbers used to set title insurance premium rates.
