THE TEXT

“designed to reduce neuroinflammation and replenish deficient or insufficient brain chemistry to an optimal level.”

Bill text, introduced version (I)

The caption reads as general PTSD care for veterans, but the text limits grant money to one described kind of at-home treatment. That narrow definition steers the grants toward providers of that specific approach.

Summary

Grants only for home treatment to “replenish deficient or insufficient brain chemistry to an optimal level.”

The bill orders the state Health and Human Services Commission, working with a nonprofit veterans organization and using money it already has, to run a grant pilot program paying for personalized PTSD treatment for at least 250 veterans. The treatment must be given at the veteran's home and must be designed to reduce brain inflammation and restore brain chemistry, so only providers offering that specific kind of protocol qualify. The commission writes rules, can take private donations, reports results by October 1, 2030, and the program ends September 1, 2031.
