Summary

A broader definition of flood project.

The bill widens the definition of a flood project that can get money from the state flood infrastructure fund. It touches local governments and other applicants that build drainage and flood control works. Starting September 1, 2025, projects that capture and treat floodwater, stormwater, farm runoff or treated wastewater to create a new water supply can also qualify for that fund.
