Summary

County roads to inspected wells, and groundwater environmental programs.

The bill lets the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District spend the fees it charges on groundwater exported out of the district on two new things: fixing county roads it needs to reach wells it inspects, and building groundwater-related environmental programs and infrastructure. To do either, the district must sign a deal with a county that a majority of the district board approves and renews every year. The change touches only this one district, the counties it works with, and the people who pay its export fees, and it takes effect September 1, 2025.
