Summary

The campus could offer courses below the junior and senior level, starting January 1, 2028.

The bill deletes the words "upper-level" from the state law that describes Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College, the branch campus in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde. That touches the university, its Board of Regents, and students in those three cities, who could now be offered courses below the junior and senior level at that campus. Nothing changes until January 1, 2028, even though the law formally takes effect September 1, 2025.
