Summary

No landowner or age rules for directors. Assistant administrator post gone.

This bill rewrites the local law that runs the Concho County Hospital District. It changes how candidates for the district board get on the ballot, drops the landowner and age rules for directors, removes the assistant administrator post, and touches the board, its officers and contractors. On the ground, candidates file an application instead of a 10-signature petition, the old rule that contracts over $2,000 had to be advertised for bids is replaced with state construction contract law, and the change takes effect immediately or on September 1, 2025.
