Caption

relating to the repeal of wheelbase and horsepower restrictions for the state's passenger vehicle fleet.

Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

State fleet cars lose their horsepower cap. One section, gone.

The bill repeals one section of state law, Section 2158.003 of the Government Code, which the caption says limits the wheelbase and horsepower of passenger vehicles in the state fleet. It touches state agencies that buy and operate passenger cars. Starting September 1, 2025, agencies would no longer face those size and engine-power limits when buying fleet vehicles.
