Summary
Paid from money the department already has.
The bill lets the Department of Family and Protective Services pay back its workers when a client of the department loses or damages the worker's personal property while the worker is doing the job. It covers current and former department employees and draws only on money the department already has. Payment is allowed but not required, so the department gains the legal authority to reimburse such losses without any new funding.
