Summary

Just a study, plus a savings estimate. Report due September 1, 2026. Expires in 2027.

The bill orders the Texas Education Agency to study whether the state should set up 10 standard building designs that school districts would have to pick from when building a new campus. The agency must also estimate how much money districts could save and send a report to state leaders and education committees by September 1, 2026. Nothing changes on the ground for school districts now, and the law expires September 1, 2027.
