relating to the dedication of revenue received from certain oversize or overweight vehicle permits to the state highway fund.

Summary

Re-enacts the split: half to the highway fund, half to counties.

The bill re-enacts two existing Transportation Code provisions that split oversize and overweight vehicle permit fees, half to the state highway fund and half to the counties named in the permit application. It touches the state highway fund, Texas counties, and the trucking operators who pay these permit fees. Nothing changes on the ground except that the dedication of the state's half to the highway fund is formally renewed under the 2013 law that sunsets old fund dedications, so the money keeps flowing where it already goes.
