Summary

Per diem for non-state members, recommendations for a later session, gone by 2028.

The bill tells the governor to set up a Family Violence Criminal Homicide Prevention Task Force inside the governor's criminal justice division, co-steered by the governor and the head of a statewide family violence advocacy group. The task force pulls in shelter staff, advocacy and legal-aid groups, state agencies, prosecutors, police groups, researchers and survivors, and non-state members get per diem and expense pay. It studies risk factors, publishes regional data, advises on training, and owes a report with recommendations by December 1, 2026, then disappears on January 1, 2028.
