Summary
On top of other leave. No paperwork demanded.
The bill gives every Texas public school district employee at least two extra paid days off each year for wellness, on top of all other leave. These days cannot be saved up or taken out of an employee's existing personal leave, and the district cannot demand paperwork to justify them. Each district must adopt a policy on how the days are processed, starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
