relating to the creation of an environmental product declaration grant program for manufacturers of ready-mixed concrete.
Caption from analyzed text · version I.
Summary
The catch: grant takers must actually use the labels.
The bill orders the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to set up a grant program that pays back ready-mixed concrete makers for the cost of software or databases used to produce environmental product declarations. Those declarations are verified labels that disclose a product's environmental impact. Concrete makers who take a grant must agree to use the labels on their products, and the commission must write rules on who qualifies, how much is paid, and how grants are monitored.
