Summary

Caption says “certain laws.” That means the manufactured home lot-rental rules, lifted for tiny home parks.

The bill says the state's manufactured home lot-rental law in Chapter 94 of the Property Code does not apply to tiny homes or tiny home communities, and it defines both terms. It touches owners who rent land for two or more tiny homes and the people who rent space there, and it also removes tiny homes from the Transportation Code definition of a recreational vehicle. On the ground, tiny home park landlords and their renters would not be covered by the rules that govern manufactured home community tenancies, starting September 1, 2025.
