Summary

Notices, orders and legal pleadings, notwithstanding any other law.

This bill lets the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation adopt rules to send and receive any correspondence electronically, including formal notices, orders and legal pleadings, notwithstanding any other law. It touches license applicants and license holders, whom the agency may require by rule to give an e-mail address, which stays confidential, while dropping the old reference to other people who regularly get agency mail. It also repeals two existing subsections of the agency's chapter, and the change takes effect September 1, 2025.
