Summary

Most votes wins, if the board says so 180 days out.

The bill lets a junior college district board pass a resolution saying its trustee races under Subsection (g) will be won by whoever gets the most votes, rather than a majority. The board must adopt the resolution at least 180 days before an election, and the rule stays in place until the board rescinds it under the same 180-day deadline. This touches junior college boards, trustee candidates and voters, and it can mean fewer runoffs starting September 1, 2025.
